Verdict

Not backtestable — no mechanical strategy to test. Educational content explaining swing highs/lows and support/resistance identification using William Fractals indicator; no mechanical buy/sell rules or entry signals defined.

We only score videos that teach a rule-based strategy (a defined entry trigger, stop and exit a computer could follow). This one doesn't contain one, so there is nothing to backtest — we show no number rather than a made-up one.

Hi friends, I am Chitra, SEBI registered research analyst. Welcome to my YouTube channel, Trader Chitra. Today we are going to learn the concept, swing. So what is called swing? A swing is a temporary movement in price from one direction to another. So when you look into the price, the price never moves in a straight line, right? Instead, it moves in a series of ups and downs. And each of this movement is called swing. So what is swing high and swing low then? A swing is a movement of price from low to high, that is called upswing. And from high to low is called downswing. So every trend is made of series of swings. So swing high is the highest point reached by the price before it makes a uh you know, moving downwards. So in in other words, what we can say that the market moves up, okay? At the time, buyers will loses the momentum. So what will happen? Sellers step in and the price will start reversing from that point. So that turning point is called swing high, okay? Again, what is called you know, swing low or downswing? So swing low is the lowest point, you know, reached by the price before it starts moving upward. So that is the lowest price. And here the market moves down, so selling pressure will decrease and buyers enter the market and the price start moving up, that is price start rising. The turning point is called swing low. All right? So why the swings are important? Why we need to use the swing highs and swing lows in trading? So what is the you know, advantage of using swings? Okay? That will help the traders to identify the market trend, whether the trend is looking bullish or bearish. And it will help us to you know, draw the support and the resistance level. And it will be easy for us to you know, give the entry and you give the exit levels. If you are entering for the long trade or for the short trade, if the swing high, you know, reaches, then we know that that is a support level. Or if the swing high touches, then we know that that is a resistance level. And it will help us to, you know, place the stop loss. And you can understand the market structure. Okay? So, when you look into this picture, we can see that this is the swing high. Okay? This is a swing high because that is the highest point reached on that particular day, and this is the swing low. Okay? So, this will act as a support, and this will act as the resistance. All right? So, this is a Nifty chart. This is a 15 minutes time frame. So, now we can see like how can we identify the swing highs and swing lows in the chart. Okay? So, there is already an indicator that is William Fractals. That is an inbuilt indicator in the TradingView. Okay? So, once you go to the settings, okay, here we have an options in the inputs like periods five, or we can change to any periods. Okay? So, say for example, if I'm setting the periods like if I change this periods to we can see that the swing highs that points is getting, you know, changed. So, if I'm setting, say for example, I'm going to set the periods as five, how it will be identify the swing highs and swing lows. So, totally there should be, you know, five candles. If we set the periods as five, it is taking the, you know, five candles. That is, you know, center candle and the left side two candles and right side two candles. So, I will show that, okay? So, this is the, you know, first candle. First candle that can be red candle or it can be, you know, green candle. So, I'm drawing here, you know, in a green color. So, the next also is a, you know, green candle. So we'll draw the five candles. So that is the you know settings it explain. When we are changing the periods to five or three or 10, it is taking the total number of candles. So if you are setting the candle in this fractals, it is I have mentioned it as five. So how that five will work, I will explain you. So here we can see there are totally you know how many candles are there? Five candles. This is the first candle, second, third, fourth and fifth. So what is the swing high of this you know five candles? This is the swing high. So when you look into the you know previous two candles, you know left side of the two candles and this is the right side of the two candles. So when you look into the left side of these two candles, you know the high of this two candles is this one. So this is called as swing high. All right? So this is the swing high. So this is how we have to you know identify the swing highs and swing low. Now we will see how can we identify the swing low. So same way that you know the the method is same like identifying using the five candles. So this is the first candle. This is the second candle. Now this is the third one. So totally there will be five candles. So how what is the settings you are going to select based on that it will calculate. So here we can see there are total number of you know five candles are there. So the first two candles is, you know, first three candles is red in color and the next two candles is green in color. So, when you look into this, you know, candle, this candle, we can see that the low of these two candles is broken. This is the, you know, lowest low. That is lower low. So, we can say that this is the swing low. So, this is the swing low. So, why this is a swing low? Why? Because this candle has broken the low of this, you know, previous two candles. When you compare these two five candles, we can say that the low of this, you know, previous two candles low is broken by this candle. So, this is the swing low. Okay? Should be low. So, the concept is if you are setting and in the settings, you know, here the periods is five, the total of candles it calculate five. Okay? The time period if you have selected is 15 or it can be five or it can be three minutes. Okay? So, here the concept it is taken the five candles. So, the left side two candles and right side two candles. Okay? So, the center candle, this candle, this particular candle has broken the low of the previous two candles. So, this is called swing low. If this candle is breaking the low of this previous two candles, then this will become the swing low. Okay? So, it will be calculating the left side two candles and as well as the right side two candles. Okay? So, now we look into the, you know, how to identify the swing highs and swing lows using the, you know, William fractals. So, the here the, you know, periods is setting, I have set it as five. Okay? So, this is a swing high and swing low. Why this is swing high and swing low? So, when you look into this particular green candle and it will take the left side two candles. So, this is a left side two candles. This green candle and this is a green candle. And it will compare the right side two candles. So when you look into these you know five candles, we can see here you know, when you look into these five candles Okay. So these five candles, okay? So when you look into these five candles, these two past two green candles and these two red candles. So these two candles you know high is this candle. And when you look into this right side of these two candles, this is the high. So this is the swing high. Same way we have to identify the you know swing low also. So how to identify the swing low? So how to identify the swing low? So this is the swing low. Same way you know above that is left side two candles and right side two candles. So this is the two candles. This red green candle and this green red candle. And this is the you know this candle has broken the low of the previous two candles. That is left side two candles and also the right side two candles. So this will be the you know swing low. All right? So this is how this indicator works. So now the same fractals what I have explained in the fractals about swing highs and swing lows you know we have incorporated in the TCLC dynamic support and resistance indicator. So here I have unchecked all the other levels, okay? And I have enabled only this. So you can see an option called swing. So this is an additional feature that we have added added to our indicator. Okay, so here also I have selected the option number of bars five. So here we can select the option like as I have explained to you you can select it as three or five or 10. That is number of candles, okay? And here the options that is no check box we have given as lines, swing, extend, and hide field. What are these means? Uh in the fractals, there is an option for swing, and it will be like showing an arrow. Okay? Here I have given the options as lines. You can see here there is a lines, right? So, that is the option. If you want don't want that lines, you can just uncheck it. Okay? So, that uh you know, lines won't be there. So, the lines went away, right? So, if you want that lines, you can always check the lines. And swing, swing is the how to That is swing highs and swing lows. Extend, what is this extend means? The lines are extending on the right side, right? So, that is called extend. Now, what is called hide field? Hide field means already if that swing is, you know, uh already that swing is touched by the candles, then that we can hide it. So, if you don't want to see that, you know, uh swings, then you can always select an option called hide field. So, here that already that swing is touched, but still that swing is, you know, showing. So, if you don't want that swing, we can always select an option called hide field. So, I'm selecting that option called hide field. So, that swing is not there now. And again, the high, swing highs is given the color as, you know, uh red in color, uh and swing low, the color I have given in green in color. You can always go and change the color. Okay? So, this is the settings. Now, click on okay. So, here I have, you know, unchecked the checkbox, that is hide field, because I want to know all the swings. I want to see all the swings. So, when you see on this particular day, that is 3rd July, we can see that, you know, there is one swing here that is on 25th June. So, the price has come and touch to that particular swing. So, that will be acting as the support level. Okay? Hope you all understood the, you know, concept of swing highs and swing lows. So, now that additional features are is available in the TCC dynamic support and resistance. So, it is an additional feature that we have added. So, it will be easy for us to understand the support and resistance levels. So, there is already I know I have uploaded a video how to identify and how to uh use this particular indicator for intraday, that is show using the major and minor levels. Uh so, now this is an additional feature which is added. So, if you don't want this fractals, you can just hide it. Okay? So, I if you want to compare both, you can always compare by using this. So, if you don't want, I'm just unchecking that. You know, I'm hiding the fractals. This is my Telegram channel, Trader Chitra. So, here I'll be uh sharing the live uh views of the index, that is Nifty, Bank Nifty, and Sensex. Okay, I used to share the live uh levels and as well as the calls here.
