★★★★☆ 4.0 / 5

Why 4.0/5? (stars grade the EDGE — per-trade expectancy, consistency, drawdown — not the headline return)

  • ✓ Strong per-trade edge: +0.36R expectancy across 13,425 trades
  • ✓ Convex payoff 3.3 — winners far bigger than losers
  • ✕ Only 32% of trades win — the rare big winners must keep showing up
  • ✕ 5 of 9 tested years were negative (2018, 2019, 2022, 2025) — the edge is regime-dependent
  • ✕ Max drawdown -32% on the ₹2L portfolio — the compounded return came with deep pain along the way

Verdict

Auto-backtested. Detected: breakout of a recent high. Ran on 159 large/mid-caps, real costs. 13,425 trades, win 32%, payoff 3.25, expectancy +0.36R/trade (avg +1.84%/trade).

This is a real edge. The payoff is convex (winners run well past the average loser). Regime-dependent — positive in only 44% of years.

So, in this video, I'm going to run through a simulation session and show you how the strategy that I use and teach works in real market conditions and has a positive expectancy over a period of time. Okay, so the first thing I'll do is jump into this random calendar generator. I'll isolate 2026 cuz we want to trade current market conditions and just press generate here. Uh, I'll get out of this. It's a bit too close to the date now. So, is that uh okay, let's go here. the 12th of the 5th. So, we jump over here to the simulator. Uh, the 12th of the 5th, 2026. Where's 12? Boom. Perfect. All right. So, I want to show you here how the system that I use and teach works in real market conditions and has a positive expectancy over a period of trades. All right. Um, I'll also bring up this session window here because the strategy that we use allows us to trade each session. So, Asia, London, and New York. And I've also put 100,000 of simulated money in this account. And let's kind of treat it like a prop firm where the goal is typically to put 6% on an account. So, we'll see over a few trades or days if we can get this up to 100,6 106,000. Perfect. I'll treat this just like any other day. First thing is to see what the higher time frames are doing and work the way down. So daily is bullish. 4hour looks like it's breaking above some major 4hour levels over here to the left. Strong 1 hour. Strong 30 closure. Strong 15 closure. I know there's super clean traffic to left, but how am I going to get in is the question. [snorts] Let's see what this ne Let's see what this next candle. Yeah, exactly. This is this is basically exactly what I would want to see. A bit of support up here for me to impulse impulsively buy above. Right. I don't need much of a bottom wick here. Now, if this if this can break the high and I'd like to take a bit of an impulse by the break of this high here. I don't need much of a bottom wick, but I do need to get out of the 1 minute, which it has. Yeah, if we can break the high here, I'm definitely looking to go with the momentum. [laughter] All right, there. Uh, let's have a look here. Buy stop loss is going to be tight because this should pop. It should just pop here. If it doesn't pop, then uh [snorts] then I'm just wrong, right? I'm just wrong. It shouldn't if it breaks its own bottom wick here, then I'm just wrong. So, what do we got? Let's go like 30 pips stop loss, 30 pip TP. Perfect. Oh, yeah. These these are like great trades to go with momentum. Look at this. That's a 4hour flipping as well. So, the 4hour retested and flipped. Look to the left. Extremely clean traffic. 1 hour breaking above and flipping 30 minute. I mean, everything here is saying I probably should have gone heavier. 1,000 bucks on the uh on the account. Easy. Super easy trade going with the m the momentum of the higher time frames. I mean, you Yeah. See, with these setups, it's so important to like know your parameters, right? Know your parameters. Tight stops because it should just pop. And don't get greedy. One one that's all you need. A one one. So we're currently nearly 2 hours into the New York uh Asia session. And let's see what happens here. 30 minute 1 hour 1 hour closure here. Nice 1 hour closure. Strong 1 hour closure. 30 strong 30 closure. and a bit of support here on the 15 that got broken below. If I get a retest here, you know, there is multiple red candles in a row, but the the the volume is picking up as we're moving down. Got again higher time frame confluence. We got a strong 4hour engulfing candle, strong 30 candle, bigger than the previous, and same with the 15. If I can get a retest. Yep. Uh, no. What's the range? 60 pips. I don't want to see any more than that. Yeah, it's not looking good. But what's the time? Oh, hang on. We got a fair bit on the clock still. Yeah, look at this one hour. Looks really nice in the 1 hour. If this can flip. [snorts] Oh, it's only been four minutes. Okay. No, this we've got time. We've got time. If this can flip, I'm going to Yep. Yep. Yep. I'm going to enter here. SL can be above current. You got tons of clean traffic. So, I'll just bring this down here. But I'll be looking to take size off around here. I'll be looking to sec if it can get there. If it doesn't, if it starts to fail here, I will look at managing because it has really not much business going all the way back up to its top week and [ __ ] like that. So, [snorts] um, beautiful, beautiful. Let's have a look. Nice confluence here. T2, T1. Keep an eye on it. But yeah, I'll definitely look at managing if it I'll [snorts] definitely look at managing this. Let's see how it plays out. 8 minutes in. [snorts] It doesn't have a ton of business going back up based on the higher time frames at least. All signs are screaming. Yeah, break your own low, gold. Break your own low. Come on, buddy. Yeah, it'll drop. It'll drop. It'll drop. She'll drop. Yep. There you go. Beautiful. Beautiful. All right. I'm going to cut 80% here. So, I'll bring up this trade panel here. What I like to do is cut 80% of the position. So, secure. I'll secure three lots. I'll put 3.5 lots on. Uh, I'll secure 2.8. I'll secure 2.8. Close. So, that's secured. I'll go break even. And now drag my full TP down even more. I know I'm asking a lot, right? I'm asking a lot. I'm I'm only asking for 260 pips, but I already secured 80. So secured 80 pips, gone be and now I'm in a risk-free trade. So why not try to get more out of it? I mean the higher time frames are freaking bearish. Why not, right? Let's skip. Oh, what? Bro, my TP was definitely down here. Why is it say that it secured it there? All right. Like beautiful trade. Beautiful trade using high. Both these trades here are only taken because the higher time frames were telling me to do so. Beautiful trade. You got that 15-minute break below. The bodies are getting bigger. The 30 closed stronger than the previous. The 1 hour engulfed the previous 1 hour, which is for us is like a nice T2 kind of setup. You've got a good retest. Yep. Beautiful. Uh T profit at the moment is at 104,000. And we're getting closer to passing his prop firm. These prop firms are watching this performance like god damn it. This dude might rinse us. So this is a couple hours into Asia. I would typically walk away now and come back at pre pre-London. So let's skip forward to pre-London. Perfect. This is 1 hour pre-London. Damn 4 hour really held down here. Cool. 30 minute and 15. Let's mark some new levels. This is a new level of support here based on this structure here below that. Super clean. What's the daily looking like? Oh, daily is rejected and coming back down now. Okay. Okay. 1 hour 30 15. Nothing just yet. Nothing just yet. The next level of clear structure is above here to be honest. So let's let's press play. Okay. We got a breakout here. It's pretty overextended. No top wick. Yeah, there's nothing here. Unless the next candle holds below here, I can't do anything. Yeah, I couldn't have taken that personally. I know a lot of people might have wanted to. Look, the 1 hour does no top wick. It would have been considered a very risky trade for me. Yeah. Yeah. Mark a level here. All right, not a bad little break above here. 30. What's the higher time frame? The 30 bodies are getting bigger. Although there's a lot of wicks. 1 hour, the 4hour closed. H. Let's see what this new candle does as it opens up here. I like that it's breaking the high here. If it can fail here, come back and then rebreak its high, I'll potentially put an order in. Yep. Like this. And now if I can rebreak a tile or enter. No, it's failing. Yeah, cool. I'm glad it failed. I didn't really want to take that. Ugly conditions. We're just chopping here now. Uh this is 2 hours into London. Okay, this doesn't look too bad. I would I'd rather sell the market. I don't like how the 30 looks. It looks like it still wants to cook people here. I don't have a good gut feeling about that 30. [snorts] I do like this wick down here though. Let's see what this new candle does as it opens. Can it break the low and retrace from here? There's a low broken. Can it retrace? Yeah. And now, can you re-break your low? No, you can't because you're Lond because it's a London session. All right, I'm going to move into 1 hour into New York cuz I'd be done now. I've sat here for a couple hours for this session, which I typically wouldn't sit there for that long, but there's definitely parameters in which I don't trade and do trade, and this would be into the one where I don't. So, let's move 1 hour into into New York. Cool. 4hour support here. So, think about it like this. If the 4hour was to start flipping here and re-breaking its own high, this would look like it would make a lot of sense to move up, right? But the thing is I need to find confirmation for that on the lower to mid time frames. So let's see if there's signs of that. 1 hour broke out, 1 hour support here. 30 minute failed to break above and 15 looks like dog [ __ ] So we'll see what happens. Skip. Oh, big foul. Let's measure this range. That's a 170 pip candle on the 15-minute time frame. Do like it. Broke the highs here. Tagged in a lot of buyers and failed. I like this based on the 4our. Um, we got clean traffic to the left. If this can retest, I'll I'll enter a sell here. Come on, bro. Enter it. Give me a retest. No, it's not going to do it. All right good. Yeah, tricky one. What a tricky. So, this this type of conditions here, if you have a look at this, see all this? This is where like newer traders just get absolutely demolished, right? And that's where knowing your trading system really well will save you so much because you'll know when to enter and when not to. more importantly, when not to. And I've just avoided so many opportunities with this with with this with the rule set that I have within my system that allows me to avoid unnecessary losses. I I take losses all the time, but unnecessary ones. Um, we've got a good pretty good rule set in order to avoid them. So, it's a 1 hour breakout. I mean, yeah, what are you going to do? It's just breaking back up. All right, I'm going to move on to the next day. and you know had a good session there through the Tokyo. So we'll move on to the next day. Cool. This is Asia open. Wow. Straight away I can see 4hour breaking above this 4hour structure here. Good retest. If this can break the high again I'll be looking. It would make sense, right? That if it breaks if it breaks the high and we can start pushing up like this. like that looks like it makes visual sense. Uh again, it's a matter of can we get lower time frame confirmation. Not really. [laughter] [gasps] It looks messy. Uh skip skip. Yeah, this is ugly. Okay, little pullback here. Potential buys. Little pullback. Potential buyers. Got a bit of support formed here. Pretty strong 30 closure. 1 hour's still open. So was a 4 hour. If this can break these two highs here, I might be interested in putting a buy position in. Need a retest. Good. Break the highs and I'll take a buy. I'm going to enter a buy here. Three lots. Buy. SL below current TP to the moon and I'll look if I can take size off on the way if it can get there. If it can get there. Big ask. Yeah. Yeah, fair enough. I'll take that. I'll take that. You know, the reason why this didn't play out is because I primarily relied on the 15 only. There wasn't enough higher time frame confluence and that's actually why I sized down as well. So that's okay. All right. Break below this level. This is looking better because now structurally look the 1 hour uh the 30 minute retested and close strong. 1 hour is still open. 4 hours is bearish. Yeah, if this can retest, this could be a great sell. I'll size back up for this one. Let's get a retest. See, the power in identifying straight away where you went wrong in a trade is like the a superpower in trading. Most traders delusional and they they will refuse to like accept what they could have done better. But that's where the true superpower is going, "Oh, I could have done this better." So, see if we can get a flip here. [snorts] Too good to be true, wasn't it? Gold 30 1 hour. Yeah, I'm still interested in this break. If it can flip from here and break its own low, I'll enter. Yep. I'll take a sell here. SL can come back up in the range. Put TP in to zero and uh and uh take size off on the way if it can get there. We break that previous low. That's a good sign. There we go. Nice. What do you got, Goldie? There you go. Good boy. There you go, buddy. All right. Perfect. So, what's that in pips? 50 pips. Yep. So, what do we got? I'll bring up the trade panel. Let's float in 1,600 in profit. So, I'll close partials. Let's close about 2.8. Close. Go be. And let's see if we can get the rest to run to the center of the earth. Run goalie. You can do it. There you go, buddy. Oh, don't do me dirty like that. Don't do me dirty like that, goalie. You're going to do me dirty, aren't you? Yeah, you're going to do me dirty, brother. That was like That was one pip away. Why did I get so greedy? Uh I think in real market conditions you would obviously probably have cut that but nice beautiful trade there. I mean that would have been 150 pips. Beautiful. So good good good switch of the bias. Okay. Took us took a paper cut here but straight away got confirmation of on the higher time frames which is where the real trades come from on what's happening and and took it. Don't get stuck on your bias. I could have got stuck on the idea of buys and be like, "No, I got to get I got to get a buy position." But I knew I only got 15-minute confirmation here and and paid the price, but higher time frame confirmations are what paid out. So, let's move on to pre-London. We're nearly passing this challenge here and I'm about to get funded. I had a dream Uh, okay. Let's have a look. 30 still open. 1 hour 15. Yeah, nothing super interesting just yet. This is 1 hour pre-London. 1 hour is still open. Yeah, I was going to say there's nothing really interesting just yet. Again, I'm only I'm flicking through the Oh, look at the 1 hour. Looks nasty. I'm flicking through on the 15minut time frame because that's what's Yeah. Nice. Decent break below here. Haven't got much room to move. Is this a 30 wick or anything? No. 30 bodies. No. I could see this melting. Let's see what this new candle does. Potential sells here. Come on, bro. It's going to melt. It's going to melt. Told you. Yep. Yep. Yep. Told you. Damn. I wonder if I could have got that. I don't I didn't even check. I have my speed thing on too high, I think. Yeah, that would have been a nice sell. All right, back up into the range. Broke the lows. Can we reject back up into the range? We got clean traffic fake out below 30 minutes still open. Let's see what this new candle does. Potential buyers break at the high buy SL. Oh, the ranges are small TP. Let's see if we can get a pop back up into this range. Beautiful. [snorts] All right, perfect. I'm going to cut 80% here. Let's cut three lots. Go be and see if we can pop above this level here. Nice. Full TP. We're $450 away from passing this challenge. Yeah, beautiful fake out play here. Type two break back up into the range. Easy. Easy work, you guys. So, we just need one more trade. 3 hours into London now. I'm going to call it and move forward to 1 hour into New York. That's when I wouldn't usually trade. Cool. So, if we take a look at the daily, I mean the 4hour kind of moving back down now. What's a daily doing? Yeah, daily is moving down as well. 1 hour 30 and 15. [snorts] Not seeing too much interesting just yet, but this is a high volume time. And let's see if we get some plays here straight away. I've got some levels to mark. Actually, the relevant level is here based on this structure over here to the left. And I know it's annoying, but it's true, man. That's like that is the relevant level of support cuz you could you would be like, "Oh man, but I could just break out of this." But it's like no, you got to pay attention to what's still left unfortunately. All right. So, we gave it a stab but failed. It broke back up into the range. 4 hours still open. I don't want to get jumpy. So, what happens in prop firm trading or just trading in general, and this is why prop firms are so successful with taking money off traders, is if I'm at 5.57% in profit right now and the target is 6%. All I'm thinking about is one more trade and I'm done. One more trade and I'm funding. But in my mind, I'm thinking this next trade I'm going to lose and it's probably going to take three more trades, right? So, I'm framing it differently in my mind to lower expectation and a potential for emotional emotional damage. This looks all right. If this can break the high, I can potentially get a buy back up week 1 hour closure 30 filled. Let's see if we get a bit of a low. I only want a small lower wick here like that. And if we can break the highs, I'm going to take a buy here. Don't want a lower wick than that. No, I'm not going to do it. [snorts] I don't like what I'm seeing. Just be patient. Next. Next. Next. Rangebound. Small body 15. Strong 30. [sighs] Yeah. In hindsight, nah. I I probably would have never taken that to be honest. The 1 hour was still open. 4 hour. No, I would never have taken that trade, that breakout. You know, that happens a lot where you'll see a move, but you would have nearly taken and it plays out and you're like, "Oh, I should have taken it." But you actually shouldn't have. You should only take the ones which are like strictly in in accordance to your trading rules. Even if it moves in the direction that you thought it was going to move, break below. All right, I'm done for this day. So, move on to the next day and see if we can get a trade and and finish this challenge here. [clears throat] Cool. Asia open. Asia open, you guys. 4 hour, 1 hour. Wow. Yucky. 1 hour range, 30 minute, and the 15 resistance support skip. Unfortunately, there's no like direction. I can't gauge any direction just yet on the higher time frames. Uh potential sells. Don't like it that much though. Yeah, it looks like it's just dropping. Didn't give an opportunity. That's all right. This makes sense. This looks like a kind of trade that makes sense. The 30 break. So, I could take an impulse T2 at the break of this 30 high. potential 1 hour support for a wick fill over here and break back up above that range 4hour engulf the previous bullishly. This makes sense, but I'm going to need to take it the pre at the break of the 30 high. So, let's see if we can get a bottom wick here like that. And if it can break that 30 high, I'll be Why do you give me the latest entry? Gold, I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. This could backfire. Gold, you did me dirty, man. You could have waited for me, but you said no. No. [laughter] Why, Lord? Why? I could have got away with nearly something here. [snorts] All right. Well, it failed massively anyway. It failed massively anyway and then came back up. Nice. Nice. [snorts] If this can uh if this can create a bit of a top wick and then a bottom wick and then rebreak its top, I'll enter. But it's not going to do it. Yeah, cuz it was obvious that this is what it was going to do. It looks like it was obviously obvious what it was going to do, which is this. But it it was not going to let any survivors be a part of that move. This is the kind of stuff which makes you think like marker manipulation and [ __ ] cuz it was so obvious what was going to happen but it just said no let me just tag everyone out before we uh before we take off here. All good. Uh let's keep going. Interesting. 1 hour 30 15 skip. Sheesh. Yeah, a lot of volatility in this session. Skip, skip, skip. And now I'm going to walk away and come back for pre-London. Here's pre-London. So 4 hours closed below. The other one's broken above 1 hour 30 and 15. All right, let's have a look. Nothing. Nothing just yet. This makes sense. Yeah, this makes sense. [snorts] If this can uh re if this can create a bottom wick, I'm going to be looking for a wick fill up over here. Let's see if this makes a bottom wick. Come on, Gold. You can do it. There you go. Now, re-break your high and I'll be looking to enter a buy here with SL below current TP in the to the moon and partials along the journey. Nice. There you go. Fill that wick. Fill it up. There you go, buddy. Yep. Nice. And now trade panel. Let's close. I mean, I can just close here. I'll just close here. There we go. $1,600. Beautiful. Beautiful work, you guys. You guys, I'm literally talking to no one. Um, yeah, man. So, I mean, that's kind of how I approach trading. To be brutally honest, I go a little bit more aggressive in the challenge phases, but whether I'm trading personal accounts, funded accounts, doesn't matter. This is the trading system that I use and teach. Um, and like I said at the start of this, the goal is to show you that over a period of time, it has a positive expectancy through out, you know, a thousand trades. And that's essentially how trading works. You learn the system deep. Uh you execute that system. You don't get in your own way and then you let the system do the walking. You just press the button and the result of that is money in your pocket. All right, that's how this all works. So yeah, hope you guys enjoyed this video or you enjoyed this video. And you know, if you want to learn the system in more detail or even work with me one-on-one and learn it in really fine tuned detail and fasttrack the process of getting to this level, there's a link in the description as well. So, I'll be taking on a few students each month to work closely with. But, uh, yeah, hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching and have a great day or night wherever you are. See you later.
